The third annual TTR 3-Star Grandvalira Total Fight Masters of Freestyle ended under winter conditions as 25 qualifiers from the Expression Session battled in today’s final rounds.

Jaakko Ruha landed an insane frontside 10 tail grab which, together with a sweet pipe run and backside rodeo convinced judges to award Ruha firsts place. Second place went to Argentinean star Mati Radaeli made two identical runs – a huge backside 7 on the big air to a crossbone on the step-up, frontside 7 and a very stylish rail run.

Jamie Philip from UK/Andorra placed third after being one of the only riders to hit the big air with a switch frontside 5 melon and a frontside 5 cork. The best Spanish rider was, of course, Iker Fernandez with his spectacular pipe runs.

The organization delivered 10,000EUR in prizes, one of the highest amounts available in slope style competitions.

After yesterday’s heavy snowfall, machines worked all night at Snowpark el Tarter to ensure the park had the best conditions for riders get the required speed.
“The hardest thing was to work on the halfpipe, but after the training runs it had the perfect shape,” said event organizer Marc Bajona. “Proof of that is that today’s runs had bigger, better and more technical tricks than yesterday.”
