4TH VICTORY IN A ROW FOR FINNISH RIDER VILLE UOTILA

Ville Uotila, Fr 10 in the big jump
In the first phase of the competition, the Finnish rider Ville Uotila scored the highest points with a Switch BS9,BS5 followed by a Switch FS9 Mute, a stunning run which won the heart of the judges and public alike. But Uotila wasn’t the only one pushing the limit, his fellow Scandinavians were killing it.

In the quarter finals, the riders had to pull their most spectacular tricks to try and nudge out their opponent, since only four riders would be left for the finals. The Finnish rider Ville Uotila was pitched against the Argentinean rider Facundo Vial, Finnish rider Nuuti Niemela was pitched against his fellow countrymen Tommi Rokolampi, the Argentinean Matias Schmitt was against another Scandinavian, Norwegian Joachim Krogstie and last but by no means least, a Finnish rider against a Norwegian rider in the shape of Valtteri Paunonen against Julius Oedegaard.
Matias Schmitt
The finals of the Total Fight 2011 were by far the most entertaining part of the competition, with riders Ville Uotila, Valtteri Paunonen, Matias Schmitt and Nuuti Niemela pulling the day’s most gnarly tricks. At this point in the competition, they each had three opportunities to impress the judges and score points.

Everyone’s favourite, Ville Uotila, had a bad landing in his first round on the Big Air whilst the Argentinean Matias Schmitt made the public stand up in awe with his Double Backflip on the Big Air. But Uotila had no intention on passing up on yet another victory and came back on form with his next round: BS10, BS5 Indy finishing off with a Switch BS9 Mute on the Tank rail.
Julius Oedergaard
And this is how Ville Uotila won his 4th victory in a row as Master of Freestyle in the seventh edition of the Total Fight. The stoked Finnish rider said: “I’m super happy, the park was on top form and I definitely think that the Total Fight should have 5 stars on the Swatch TTR World Tour”

The Fins dominated the podium: 1º Ville Uotila, 2º Valtteri Paunonen, 3º Nuuti Niemela
It’s important to point out the Argentinean rider Matias Schmitt’s amazing performance, he was a non-invited rider and went on to win 4th place in the competition.
