The 11th edition of the Grandvalira freeski Total Fight did not disappoint the audience in the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees.

The Slopestyle competition within the Gold category of the AFP World Tour calendar (Association of Professional freeskiers), had a very high level of riders; including a world champion and two winners of the X Games.
Friday’s qualifying session would be disputed with the outstanding performance of the Americans, Nick Goepper got the top score in Group 2.
The current winner of the X Games would perform the best round with a Switch Left 2 to 2, Front Soap Pretzel 2, Switch Dub 9 Tail, Left D 12 Mute, Switch Left 3 to Switch Right 5.
On Saturday the moment of truth would arrive, where the top16 riders would have two attempts in a Face to Face format, one against the other, looking for a pass for the top 8.
After each round, the temperature would rise not only meteorologically speaking, also amongst the surviving riders in this edition of Grandvalira’s Total Fight.
The eight chosen to fight, get two attempts in the Face to Face format, to move up to the top four for the super final and they would be Jesper Tjader against Nick Goepper, Oystein Braten against Jeremy Pancras, Noah Wallace against Matt Walker and Eddie Gildea against McRae Williams.
The high standard of riding might have some surprises in store, such as the elimination in this round of the American McRae Williams and the Frenchman Jeremy Pancras. Finally, the four riders who would dispute the ultimate super final would the Swede Jesper Tjader, the Norwegian Oystein Braten and Americans Noah Wallace and Eddie Gildea.
In the Super Final, each rider would have three attempts and the best score would take the victory. The Norwegian Oystein Braten would be in a great state of mind, reaching the highest score in his second attempt of the Slopestyle circuit with a Switch Left 2 to 2, Left Soap 3 Pretzel 2, Switch Left 12 Mute, Right Dub 10 Safety and Left 3 to Left 5.
After his victory, Braten said: “its incredible, I think its a super event and it was a big surprise for me to get first place. I enjoyed every moment in Andorra and finishing with a victory makes me even happier. I liked the course, I know there is a lot of hard work behind this event and the level of the riders is very high.”
To complete the podium Noah Wallace in second place and the Swede Jesper Tjäder on the third step. Eddie Gildea being fourth.
The 11th edition of Grandvalira’s Freeski Total Fight hit its climax at the prize giving and the final party in the Abarset.
